If you take a stereo power amp, and give it a stereo signal (any mp3, for example), and run the amp at the same volume on both sides, plug one side into a BR12, and the other into an S112V, and ask the listener which is "louder", they will tell you the S112V is louder. That's all I was implying.However, OP, if you're doing an acoustic gig, and may in the future need more power than what you have available, I have a recommendation for you. Much like a good EQ, by boosting and cutting the right frequencies, the mix is less "muddy" and has the perception from the listener that it is more "loud".Clarity might be the issue here, where as volume may not.
